The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has revealed the 15-player lineup for the 2023 ICC World Cup. This announcement, just a month before the tournament, has stirred reactions on social media. Many cricket enthusiasts had their predictions, and some were surprised by the official list.
Recently, Ajit Agarkar, who leads the selection committee, went to Sri Lanka. He discussed the team choices with captain Rohit Sharma and coach Rahul Dravid. The final list was shared with the public on September 5.
The 2023 Cricket World Cup will be hosted by India from October 5 to November 19. Fans nationwide were eager to know the players who would represent India. The chosen squad has similarities to the team currently playing in the Asia Cup 2023, but with a few changes.
According to recent news, KL Rahul, who’s been recovering from injuries, will join the World Cup team as the main wicket-keeper. Rahul will also rejoin the Asia Cup for the Super-4 stage after missing two games.
