This announcement, just a month before the tournament, has stirred reactions on social media. Many cricket enthusiasts had their predictions, and some were surprised by the official list.

Recently, Ajit Agarkar, who leads the selection committee, went to Sri Lanka. He discussed the team choices with captain Rohit Sharma and coach Rahul Dravid. The final list was shared with the public on September 5.
